In 2021, our German branch took an important step towards fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace by signing the “Charta der Vielfalt” (Charter of Diversity). This commitment reflects our dedication to creating an inclusive workplace where every individual, regardless of age, gender, nationality, beliefs, or abilities, feels valued and empowered to bring their best selves to work.
Originally launched in 2006 under the patronage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the “Charta der Vielfalt” highlights the transformative power of diversity in shaping Germany’s business culture.
At AND-E, our colleagues´ wellbeing is central to our success. In the UK, our teams actively promote involvement in Smart Works, a UK charity focused on empowering women to re-enter the workforce. Our local initiatives extend to raising awareness about menopause and offering essential childcare support. Acknowledged as a family-friendly employer, we celebrate diversity by recognising and addressing the unique needs of women at different stages of life.
We organised charity office coffee mornings to strengthen community bonds and support local causes like the BAY Foodbank in Newcastle. Beyond simply sharing tea and treats, these gatherings aim to amplify our positive impact and unity. Our partnership with the BAY Foodbank underscores our commitment to assisting those in financial crises. By supporting this cause, we recognise our role in caring for our local communities during challenging times.
